Polishing a brass trimmed Emerson Electric Antique Trojan fan with Wenol

This is a nice little project we did at the shop recently. This was an antique 1904 era Emerson Electric Mfg Co Trojan, model 8014, four blade ceiling fan. It was in all original condition. The motor was a little noisy so we had a local electric motor shop down in Lenox Dale Massachusetts  rebuild the bearings. It now runs smooth and quiet.  At some point in time, some one had sprayed the brass trim with black  paint. So we stripped it with with Zip Strip and then set out and polished the brass back to an acceptable sheen. It is an antique so we did not want it to become too brilliant. A little Wenol did the trick and a quick buffing with a microfiber towel was all that was needed. Below are a few pictures showing before and after shots as well as a few close ups of the Wenol polish being used on the brass. Just click the photo to enlarge for a better view.
