Simichrome removes rust from a carpenters chisel
We used Simichrome metal polish to show how easy it is to remove the rust & corrosion and then bring the steel surface of this carpenters 1/2 inch wood chisel to a brilliant shine. We also cleaned up the cloudy plastic handle with Simichrome. Click on the before & after pictures and see what you think.

Instructions and Application :
1. You will find it easy to spread a nice thin even coat of Simichrome metal polish if you apply it by using the finger tips of your nitrile gloved hand. Cover all sides of the chisel completely.
2. Let the polish stand for a short time and then gently remove any polish residue with a soft paper towel before it dries.
3. We them re-applied following steps 1 & 2 . Then buff to the desired sheen with a soft micro fiber cloth. Time elapsed to shine this chisel was less than 5 minutes. With just the polish that was left on the microfiber cloth from the previous step, we wiped and buffed the plastic handle of he chisel. It took years of grime and even most of the scratches off. The chisel really looks good again.
